Mighty Oak Trees Grow – Full £5m Funding Secured for Local Policy Innovation
The Stirling Local Policy Innovation Partnership (LPIP) is delighted to announce that its full £5 million funding proposal has been approved, enabling the project to enter its next phase in January 2024. This funding represents a critical milestone in driving sustainable economic growth and enhancing community resilience through innovative water management in the Forth region.
With this award secured, the Partnership is now poised to move forward with renewed momentum. During the set-up phase, the team engaged extensively with partners, holding over 65 one-to-one meetings and aligning efforts with other water-related projects across the region. This collaborative groundwork has prepared the project to achieve significant progress in its next phase.
“Your involvement and contributions as partners have been invaluable as we’ve worked together to ensure this project is truly collaborative and community-focused,”
said Richard Simmons, the Principal Investigator
“We look forward to this next phase and to working more closely with you as we move from planning to implementation.”
With backing from UK Research and Innovation, ESRC, and Innovate UK, the Partnership is positioned to become a leader in place-based innovation, delivering impactful, community-driven solutions to some of the UK’s most pressing challenges.
